UNP deputy leader Karu Jayasuriya in his dreamland has now started muttering in his sleep to call for elections that are legal. "If Jayasuriya opens his eyes in his slee, he will realized that all elections held in the pre- and post independence era have been constitutional and legal, an amiable Anura Priyadarshna Yapa, the Minister of Mass Media and Information  said amidst laughter of media personnel at the weekly cabinet briefing held at the Government Information Department.

Continuing Minister Yapa defined that Jayasuriya was either day dreaming or seeing wild dreams in his sleep at night that brought horror and fear to his mind.

Minister Yapa reminded to Jayasuriya that the Commissioner of Elections by statute has been empowered and vested with the necessary legality to conduct lawful elections
"The State will ensure that the election will be free and fair", Minister Yapa assured.
