Celebrating 150th birth anniversary of Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore

The films are based on the novels and stories of Tagore.
Rabindranath tagore was a towering personality who straddled the world of literature, art, music and intellectual discourse and contributed in a very meaningful manner to the cultural renaissance of India, Sri Lanka and other countries of Asia.
The film festival will commence today at National Film Corporation Cinema and will be held till 5th September as follows:-
1st Sep "Choker Bhali - 6.30pm
2nd Sep "Ghosh" - 6.00pm
3rd Sep "Agantuk" - 6.30pm
4th Sep "Rabindranath Tagore Documentary" - 6.30pm
5th Sep "Charulatha" - 7.00pm
An exhibition of Tagore’s paintings will also be organized in Sri Lanka later this year along with a photo exhibition on the life and travels of Tagore.
