Asoka Handagama’s latest movie “Ini Avan” which had its international premiere at the 13th Jeonju International Film Festival 2012, South Korea, has been picked for the ACID (Association du Cinéma Indépendant pour sa Diffusion) Cannes 2012 Program, which will take place during the International Film Festival in Cannes from 17 to 26 May.

Children’s paintings are accepted from Islandwide talented children for the first round of the State children’s Arts Festival - 2012 to be held jointly by the Department of Cultural Affairs and the State Arts and the sculpture panel of the Sri Lanka Arts Council under the direction of the Ministry of Culture and the Arts.
