Tharu Dilena Reyak 111 to be staged at Nelum Pokuna

tdr3Tharu Dilena Reyak III’, the fund-raising musical extravaganza with a galaxy of popular vocalists and artistes is to be staged by the Sri Lanka army in collaboration with the Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB) on 29th December at Nelum Pokuna for the purpose of harnessing financial support for construction of 'Abimansala' wellness resorts.

kwait cultural “Sri Lanka Cultural Days” kicked off on Saturday 29th of September, at the Kuwait National Museum as part of an on-going cultural extravaganza.  The event, hosted by the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL), was a prelude to the upcoming First Asian Cooperation Dialogue Summit to be held in Kuwait in  mid October.  Number of  Asian countries were invited to showcase their  cultural heritage including events, products and tourism attractions.

JAPANESE CULTURAL EXHIBITION - 2012

japanculturalA Japanese Cultural Exhibition will be held at the National Art Gallery, Colombo on 1stand 2nd September 2012 to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Sri Lanka.  The exhibition has been organized by the Embassy of Japan and the Japanese Language Teachers’ Association of Sri Lanka and will feature Ikebana floral arrangements, bonsai plants, origami, as well as demonstrations of the tea ceremony, Ikebana floral art, bonsai planting and origami folding. The exhibition will also feature multimedia presentations and photographic exhibitions on Japan.
