Sri Lanka Tourism flies far and high |

Sri Lanka Tourism hosted a special event at the Zero Sette restaurant, in close proximity to the Excel Centre, and announced to the travel and tourism industry gathered at the world’s largest travel mart - the World Travel Mart in London, that its international communication campaign is VISIT SRI LANKA 2011 and is set on hosting 2.5million visitors by the year 2016, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau sources revealed.
The communication will primarily use the audio visual medium of TV, in the plan to showcase to the world, the many beauties of the destination and the locations of interest to each market segment.
The campaign will commence on 20th November with BBC, Al Jazeera, CNN and Discovery Travel & Living featuring Sri Lanka, and its transposition from a destination limited to safe locations to one of idyllic sites waiting to be discovered.
