Minister Perera told www.news.lk a shortwhile while ago that Gen.Fonseka while making his  maiden appearance in politics before the media last week confessed that he (Fonseka) had no knowledge about the country's economy and added that a person must have at least thirty years of experience in politics to talk about the nation's economy."So Gen.Fonseka  by his confession had accepted that President Mahinda Rajapaksa with 40 years of  political experience was the best man to speak on the country's economy", the minister noted.

He further said that the people were of the view that it was only Ranil wickremesinghe who roamed the world to stop the GSP + facility to Sri Lanka but, now by Amarasinghe's comment after returning from Europe it was clear that the JVP leader  was also a part of that conspiracy against the country.

Commenting further, Minister Perera said that the GSP was always there and the "PLUS" facility was obtained  under the leadership of President Mahinda Rajapaksa."Whatever Ranil and Somanwansa may try, they cannot make Sri Lanka GSP minus as the GSP had stood with us over a period of time", said Minister Perera.

Recalling an incident in Parliament, Perera said that Ranil Wickremesinghe on being questioned by Minister Dinesh Gunawardena in the House  had once asked,"What's wrong in my telling the world to scrap the GSP + facility?". Elaborating on that statement, Minister Perera said that Ranil admitted making such anti-national statement to the world wearing clothes and today Somawansa Amarasinghe was repeating the same without clothes.

He said the JVP  was experienced in making a mole out of a mountain like the 'Gonibilla" days and it was now trying to make out the same on the GSP + facility, which is yet under discussion.

Minister Perera said Gen.Fonseka had never being tested in politics and was a novice who was trying to compete with a political giant like  President Mahinda Rajapaksa."The setback he would suffer in January will be disastrous', predicted Minister Perera.
