The Sri Lankan Association of New York (SLANY) in cooperation with the residents and the Township of Denville will host an Annual Sri Lanka Day on Saturday, 7th August, at Gardner Field, Denville, New Jersey. The theme of this year’s Sri Lanka Day is “Togetherness”. The Mayor of Denville Phillip Hussa will officially proclaim the day as “Sri Lanka Day”. This is the 35th year that the Sri Lanka Day is being held in Denville. |

The Board of Investment has given sanction for the Sri Lankan industrial safety products manufacturer Industrial Clothings Group to expand its production with an investment of 12 million US dollars. Industrial Clothing is a large exporter of personal protective equipment, mainly industrial safety products, which include gloves and safety shoes. |

Cabinet of Ministers held its meeting on 14.July 2010 at Kilinochchi with H.E. the President in the Chair. 1. On the recommendation of the President Mahinda Rajapaksa as Minister of Finance and Planning the Cabinet has already approved the obtaining of Emergency Financial Assistance of USD 150 million from the ADB to implement emergency projects in the Conflict affected North east region.
