Korean investments to flow into Sri Lanka

Leading Korean businessmen have expressed their willingness to invest in Sri Lanka.

 

This assurance was given to President Mahinda Rajapakse by the Korean businessmen yesterday when they met the President and held discussions on expanding Sri-Lankan trading activities and about the investment potentials in Sri Lanka.

 

The President has enlightened them about the investment potentials available in the country in various sectors and about building of infrastructure activities being carried out in Sri Lanka.  

 

The Korean delegation that met the President included the Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of the Korean Small and Medium Scale Entrepreneurs Association, Korean Industrialists Association, Korean Exporters Association, and Korean Commerce and Industrial Chamber.

 

After this meeting the President has held discussions with the Chairmen and Chief Executive Officers of a leading Korean business institution the Hanjing Group of Companies, Dave Shipping and Ship Engineering Company and Lote Group of Companies. (niz)
