National Plantation Awards Ceremony in July

The National Plantation Awards Ceremony 2012 will be held under the distinguished patronage of President Mahinda Rajapaksa on July 12 at 4.00 pm at the Temple Trees.
The main objective of the awards ceremony, which is being held for the first time in Sri Lanka on a concept of Minister of Plantation Industries Mahinda Samarasinghe, is to appreciate the significant contribution made by Tea and Rubber Plantation Societies and Companies in Sri Lanka to the national economy .
It is expected to give away awards to around 90 Planters, Industrialists and Exporters in the plantation area.
