Minister Basil Rajapaksa declared open the New "Watthala - Bopitiya Divi Naguma Sathi Pola"

Mr. Basil Rajapaksa, Minister of Economic Development declared open the New "Watthala - Bopitiya Divi Naguma Sathi Pola" on 21st June 2012.
The Ministry has taken steps to develop and modernize sathipolas in the Gampaha district. The Ministry of Economic Development spent Rs 40 million to construct the Watthala Bopitiya Divi Naguma Sathi Pola. This trade complex has 150 stalls, with water electricity, sanitary and parking facilities. Infrastructure facilities also have been developed with a cost of 10 million under this project.
There are many public markets in Sri Lanka but traders and consumers had faced lot of difficulties due to lack of sanitation, water and electricity and parking facilities. Therefore Basil Rajapaksa, Minister of Economic Development has initiated a programme to develop the all public markets in Sri Lanka.
