Sri Lanka Hada Bima Authority makes record sale of plants worth Rs 5.8 M

The Sri Lanka Hada Bima Authority states that the plant sales campaign conducted within the premises of its head office has made a record sale this year worth Rs.5.8 million
The sales campaign conducted is in view of providing a higher quality plants to produce a better quality crops and fruits and decorative plants, to various agro industries, retailers among both rural and urban agro communities and the general public.
The Chairman, Sri Lanka Hada Bima Authority, Mr.Nandasena Herath said that they are making every effort to make available numerous varieties of plants to their customers.
Furthermore, this centre also caters to both governmental and non-governmental organizational projects.
Mr. Nandasena Herath, states that in future they intend launching mobile plant nurseries with the aim of expanding the plant sale campaign to reach every plant lover in the country.
Meanwhile agricultural department has made arrangements to provide quality seeds to growers under the Gami Diriya project to popularize the one million Home Garden project undertaken by the ministry of Economic Development sds
