Sri Lanka is to reduce the telecommunication levy on internet broadband connections from next year,
The Regulator on Telecommunication, the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRC) will reduce the telecommunication levy on internet and broadband services by 50 percent from January 2013.
Accordingly the telecommunication levy will be reduced from the current 20 to 10 percent, the SMS mobile text alert news released by the Government Information Dept said.
