According to the UDA, the estimated cost for construction of the crematorium and landscaping is Rs. 31.92 million.

The existing cemetery of Dole Kanatta which is located in Kesbewa UC area does not have space for expansion and the people are facing much inconvenience due to non availability of a crematorium.The UDA is to re-develop the cemetery with a crematorium, landscaping & parking facilities.
