    Bee Keeping Village Program to be launched in NWP

    The Ministry of Agriculture has taken steps to launch a bee keeping village program in North Western Province to raise the villagers living standards.

    Under the project 400 bee boxes and other instruments were distributed among the selected farmers and were trained them by the agriculture instructors (AI) and the project is being conducted under the instruction of Deputy Directors of agriculture department.

     

    The program targets house-wives and women who could make the bee hives at home. They could earn about Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000 per month by selling bee's honey. (ST/KH)
