Winds will be South-westerly and speed will be 20-40 kmph. Winds can strengthen up to 50-60kmph at times.
The sea area around the island will be rough at times.

The Met Dept.says that showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the deep sea area off east coast. Showers will occur at several places in the sea area extending from Puttalam to Matara via Colombo and Galle.
