Winds will be South-westerly and speed will be 30-40 kmph.
The sea area around the island will be rough at times as the winds can strengthen up to 50 kmph at times.

Several spells of showers will occur in the sea area off the coast extending from Puttalam to Matara via Colombo and Galle. Showers or thundershowers can be expected at a few places in the other sea areas during the afternoon or evening, the Met Dept.says.
