    Ranaviru Monument unveiled in Galnewa Featured

    The Ranaviru Monument built at the Galnewa Pradeshiya Sabha pemises in memory of the gallant soldiers who made supreme sacrifices on behalf of the country was unveiled under the patronage of North Central Governor P.B. Dissanayake.

    The monument was built under the guidance of the Ranaviru Sansadaya of the Rana Viru Seva Authority. Noteworthy was the construction of the monument with financial contributions of families of war heroes of the Galnewa area who sacrificed their lives on behalf of the country and the labour of differently abled soldiers.

     

    Names of 60 war heroes who made supreme sacrifices have been engraved in the monument.

     

    Deputy Chairperson of the Rana Viru Seva Authority Upulangani Malagamuwa was among those present on the occasion. Those present on the occasion offered floral tributes to the monument.
