The Met Dept. forecasts gradual increase of rain in the South-western parts and windy condition over Sri Lanka and neighbouring sea areas.
The Met Dept. also says showers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces and showers may extend to North western province too. Thundershowers are expected to develop at a few places in the Eastern and Uva provinces after 4.00 pm.
Southwest monsoonal winds will strengthen at times over the island and neighborhood, the Met Dept. further says.
