UNP May Day parade glitters with Tiger Terrorist flags

unp logo.16.9

The joint May Day Rally of the United National Party and the Tamil National Alliance was held   in Jaffna yesterday.  Several other miniature political parties also participated in this rally.

The parade started within close proximity to the Nallur Kovil, while the rally was held at  St. Patrick college grounds.  The Democratic People’s Front, Nava Sinhala Urumaya and the Nava Samsamaja Party are the miniature parties that jointed the rally.

The significant feature of the parade was supporters of the United National Party wearing Green Caps and holding green flags marching together with the pro-tiger terrorist elements holding high the Tiger Terrorist flags.

Political analysts said that Ranil Wickremasinghe by participating in this rally which was a gathering of the pro-tiger terrorist elements has betrayed the UNP membership.  They said that although Wickremasinghe and a handful of his cronies still have their sympathy for the tiger terrorists the majority of the UNP members are not supportive of them and those who participated in the May Day rally in Jaffna would undoubtedly be regretting for becoming a party to support tiger terrorist elements.

The rally was addressed by the opposition leader Ranil Wickremasinghe and the Tamil National Alliance leader R.Sambandan and several others.(niz)
