SLFP gets ready for the PC Elections

Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), the main constituent party of ruling United People's Freedom Alliance has appointed three committees to select the candidates for the upcoming elections for the North Central, Eastern and Sabaragamuwa provinces.
The three committees are headed by Ministers Nimal Siripala de Silva, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa and W.D.J. Seneviratne.
Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva is in charge of the committee which is to select candidates for the Sabaragamuwa Province while Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa heads the selection committee for Eastern Provincial Council and Minister W.D.J. Seneviratne heads the selection committee for the North Central Provincial Council.
The interviews for the selection of candidates are scheduled to be held on July at the Mahaweli Center in Colombo.
Acceptance of nominations for the Provincial Council elections will start on July 12 and will be continued till 19th July. (niz)
