UPFA registers a thundering victory in Sabaragamuwa

The United People's Freedom Alliance has won a massive victory in the Sabaragamuwa Province which includes Ratnapura and Kegalle districts which had been a home ground of progressive people.

The UPFA has secured 28 seats in the Province as against its main rival the United National Party which has won only 14 seats in the province.  .

The UPFA ally Ceylon Workers Congress led by Minister Arumugam Thondaman has won 2 seats in the province.  The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna has failed to win any seat in the province..(niz)
