JVP join hands with TNA

The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna which is bent on destabilizing the country and create chaos in the country through whatever means is possible, despite their strong criticism about the Chief Justice in the Parliament and urging the Parliament that she should be impeached over her husband’s bribery and corruption charges and filing by themselves the bribery and corruption charges at the Commission for bribery or corruption against the husband of Chief Justice Pradeep Kariyawasam, has joined hands with the Tamil National Alliance to attend the Court of Appeal hearing today.

These two groups against the ruling given by the Speaker about the supremacy of the Parliament and nullity of the court notices to Parliament have decided to attend the Courts undermining the supremacy of the Parliament and people’s sovereignty.

Meanwhile, in compliance with the Speaker’s ruling the government members and the 2 members of the United National Party who represented the Special Parliamentary Select Committee that reviewed the Impeachment Motion have decided to boycott the Court proceedings. (niz)
