President Maithripala Sirisena appointed three Directors for special projects and a special project officer yesterday (Nov. 25) at the Presidential Secretariat.
Accordingly, Jagath Pushpakumara received his appointment as the Uva Province Project Director Erick Prasanna Weerawardena was appointed as the Project Director of Central Province and Shantha Bandara received the appointment as the Project Director of Wayamba Province. Premasiri Munasinghe was appointed is the Special Project Officer for Polonnaruwa District.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
