    Our education and health sectors gained high international recognition – President

    The annual prize giving ceremony of the St. Paul’s Girls School in Milagiriya held under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena on July 28.


    The President presented certificates to those pupils who showed their outstanding performance in the field of education and teachers were felicitated at this event for rendering a yeoman service to the School.


    At present Sri Lanka’s education and health fields has gained high international recognition, addressing the ceremony President Sirisena said.


    The President also emphasized that the teachers and parents should commit themselves to building a disciplined generation amidst their studies for competitive examinations.


    Minister of Education, Akila Viraj Kariyawasam , Minister Ravi Karunanayake , State Minister, S.S. Radhakrishnan, Deputy Speaker Thilanga Sumathipala , the Chief Minister of Western Province, Isura Devapriya, the staff of the school including Principal,Mrs. J. Sumedha Jayaweera, parents and many others participated in the event.
