Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena who called on Chief Prelate of the Malwatta chapter Most Venerable Tibbotuwawe Sri Sumangala Thera presented a copy of the Draft Bill on the 19th Amendment to the Constitution to the Chief Prelate.
Thereafter, after a brief discussion, the Mahanayake Thera chanted Seth Pirith and invoked blessings on the President.
President also called on the Anunayake of the Malwatta Chapter Ven. Niyangoda Vijithasiri Thera and presented a copy of the Draft Bill on the 19th Amendment to the Constitution to the Anunayake Thera. The Anunayake Thera too chanted seth pirith and blessed the President.
