    Hotel Show Colombo 2015 concludes Featured

    The 10th Edition of the Hotel Show Colombo 2015, was declared open by President Maithripala Sirisena in the presence of Minister of Tourism and Sports Navin Dissanayake at BMICH.

    The Ceylon Hotel School Graduates Association (CHSGA) together with CDC Events and Travels announced a three-day mega show, the 10th edition of ‘Hotel Show Colombo 2015’ from 22 to 24 May at the BMICH.

     

    Hotel Show Colombo 2015 wwas an ideal event for industry suppliers to showcase their products and services to decision-makers of the hospitality industry. The event was open to both local and international suppliers and this year there has been unprecedented interest from international suppliers. Hotel Show 2015 is not only the best in South Asia, it also highlighted the development and progress of the hospitality industry of Sri Lanka.

     

    Several concurrent events were held alongside the trade fair in order to engage the hospitality fraternity and the general public. A street food carnival, barista competition, cocktail competition, hot cooking apprentice culinary challenge and several trade seminars will add added flair and flavour to the event.

     

    SLTPB Chairman Rohantha Athukorala said, “This is a very powerful and strong industry which brings in revenue of 1.7 million. I would like to congratulate the Ceylon Hotel School Graduates Association and CDC Events and Travels for promoting Hotel Show Colombo 2015. It is a unique industry and makes a dominant contribution to our country.”

     

    Delegations of international buyers too visited the event to conduct business, further cementing the position of Hotel Show Colombo as South Asia’s best.
