President Maithripala Sirisena attended the opening ceremony of the four storied building at Visuddharama Temple in Dematagoda yesterday.
The President initially engaged in religious observances and thereafter called on Chief Prelate of the Temple Ven.Welimada Shantha Thero and offered Atapirikara to the Ven.Thero.
The Most Ven. Davuldena Gnanissara Thera, the Mahanayake of the Amarapura Sangha Council, the Most Ven. (Dr) Aseen Gnanissara., Sangha Nayaka of Senjin Nikaya, Myanmar and Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka were present.
