President Maithripala Sirisena presided over an event to distributed equipment for the higher education of blind children in the country at the Sri Lanka Council For the Blind in Rajagiriya on Friday (03)..
A pack of school equipment valued at Rs.12,000 per student were distributed among 45 students covering all the districts including the North and the East. The financial contribution of these equipment were borne by the Korean Businessmen's Association,
Korean Businessmen's Association Chairman Y.K.Chung attended the event as a special guest. Sri Lanka Council for the Blind Chairman Amaradasa Gunawardena was also present.
