A special discussion was held under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena on rehabilitation of the Deegavapi Sacred City, at the Presidential Secretariat today (25).
During the discussion, the President instructed the relevant officials to carryout the development work according to a proper plan. He also requested for a report on the Deegavapi sacred land development project from archaeological and cultural institutions of the government.
Daya Gamage, MP and Archaeological Commissioner–General Senarath Dissanayake were also present at the discussion.
