University Entrance applications close today

The acceptance of applications for admission to Universities will be closed today.
The Additional Secretary to the University Grants Commission Dr. Priyantha Premakumara said that those who have not applied have still time to submit their applications. He said that if the students have any problems they can visit the University Grants Commission after 8.30 am today and obtain necessary advice and several counters have been established at the Commission for this purpose.
He said that such applicants can handover their applications today itself. The Additional Secretary said that instead of waiting for re-correction results they can submit the application based on the results they already have.
He said that there will be no extension for the closing date. The Additional Secretary further said that it is anticipated to provide admissions to 23,000 students for Universities this year.(niz)
