Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas will arrive in Sri Lanka tonight

Mahmoud Abbas President of the State of Palestine will arrive in Sri Lanka on Sunday night on a two day state visit. The official welcome ceremony with a guard of honour will take place on Monday morning in front of the Presidential Secretariat Colombo.
Mahmoud will hold one to one meeting with Sri Lankan President followed by bilateral talks at delegates level. A number of agreements are also to be signed between the two countries.
President Rajapaksa will host a State banquet in honour of the visiting President at the President's House on Monday night.
Sri Lanka maintains a cordial relationship with Palestine and the President Mahinda Rajapaksa is an ardent supporter of Palestine and when President Rajapaksa visited Palestine a road there, was named after him.
Palestine President during his two day state visit to Sri Lanka will be accompanied by a seven member official delegation.
