SriLankan fly daily to Kuwait

SriLankan Airlines will start a direct and daily flight between Kuwait and Colombo effective from May 1st. The flight will depart from Kuwait at 21:55 daily and arrive in Colombo at 6:15a.m.

 

SriLankan Airline officials said that with the launch of this flight the current Kuwait-Dubai-Colombo flight will be disconnected, but the direct SriLankan Airlines flight from Dubai to Colombo will continue.

 

In January and February this year there was a 42 percent increase in arrivals from the Middle East. Tourism during the same period last year stood at 5,359 compared to 7,625 tourists this year.

With the new scheduling of flights SriLankan will be operating a total of 47 weekly flights into the Middle East. SriLankan fly to seven cities in India such as Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Mumbai, Trichy and Trivandrum, with four flights per week.

Meanwhile SriLankan Airlines has increased its frequencies to many Middle East destinations. Flights to Muscat have been increased from two to four per week, to Doha from five to seven, and with daily flights to Dubai. (niz+)
