SriLankan adds capacity to Jeddah

SriLankan Airlines’ is increasing its seat capacity to Saudi Arabia, by adding a 314-seater Airbus A340 on its Colombo Jeddah route, to facilitate the demand from special Umrah groups, travelling to observe religious rites, states SriLankan Airlines issuing a communique.

The new service will operate every Sunday commencing from 6th May and continue until 2nd September, 2012, departing Colombo at 1520 hours, arriving in Jeddah at 1850 hours. It departs Jeddah the same day at 2000 hours and arrives in Colombo at 0450 hours.. The aircraft is configured to 18 business and 296 economy class seats. The new Sunday
flight is added to the current thrice-weekly schedule, which operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

 

The communique further states that SriLankan is also considering the addition of a third service to Riyadh
