'Malta Today' says Sri Lanka perfect holiday spot

Malta’s main news portal “Malta Today” extolling the tourist potential available in Sri Lanka says that lush tropical forests, white beaches, diverse landscapes with rich biodiversity and a friendly, multicultural community make Sri Lanka the perfect spot for a holiday.

 

It says that Sri Lanka is home to many national parks, full of trumpeting elephants, monkeys and peacocks, but World's End is the only one where visitors are permitted to walk on their own - on designated trails only. The entire walk is 9.5km and will usually take around three hours at a leisurely pace and passes through the 2km stretch of Baker's Falls.

 

The paper also writes about the ancient Kingdoms of Sri Lanka, the Buddhist viharas and the veneration shown by people at these places of worship, history of the sacred tooth relic, the history and the splendor of the Sigiriya Fortress, the Sri Maha Bodhi and the Sri Dalada Maligawa as well, and recommends visit to these places.

 

It also writes about the hotels and other accommodation facilities available in Sri Lanka and says that a visitor could enjoy the tastes of delicious food with flavours from India, Arabia and California, or simply stop at the pastry shop, Café 64 for some delicious cakes, pastries, cookies and all things are yummy.(niz)
