InfoDept. Gets ready for a grand New Year Festival

The annual New Year festival of the Government Information Department will be held at the Department premises tomorrow (28th). It will be inaugurated by the Acting Minister of Mass Media and Information Lakshman Yapa Abeywardene.
A range of traditional New Year games as well as cultural events are organized such as ‘Kotta Pora’, ‘Kana Mutti Bindeema’, Marathon and other races, indoor games and the ever famous tug-of-war.
There will be special events for the children of the departmental staff as well.
The special feature of the event will be selection of the Info Queen and Info Prince by preference votes of the staff. (niz).
