Only SLFP governments helped the Estate population

Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa participating as the Chief Guest at the May Day rally of the Ceylon Workers Congress held in Ginigathhena said that it is the Sri Lanka Freedom Party that declared May Day as a holiday and if there was any service been done to the working masses in the estates it has been done only by the government’s under the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.

He also extended well wishes of President Mahinda Rajapaksa for the members of the Ceylon Workers Congress holding the May Day rally in Ginigathhena.

The General Secretary of the Ceylon Workers’ Congress Minister Armugham Thondaman, Deputy Minister Muttu Sivalingham and several people’s representatives attended this rally. (niz)
