SLFP's reorganization programme ends with success

Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), the main coalition party of the government Saturday launched a massive six-month long island wide programme to reorganize the party.
The first islandwide programme commenced Saturday under the patronage of Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa in the Anuradhapura District in North Central Province. The President. Saurday visited and addressed the masses in the vilalgers of Horowpathana, Mihintale and Anuradhapura and said that the government is working towards re-establishing the lifestyles of the Sri Lankans which they lost due to the war.
Awareness programmes were organized covering all divisional secretariat areas in Anuradhapura district including Kebithigollawa, Padaviya, Thalawa, Thambuththegama, Mihintale, Thirappane, and Horowpatana. A programme of house to house visits was also organized throughout the Anuradhapura district to identify people’s problems and to find instant and long term solutions for them. A series of meetings were also organized in the district. Senior Ministers and Parliamentarians of the SLFP, Provincial Governors and Chief Ministers of SLFP were amongst the politicians who participated in the programme.
The programme was coordinated by Chief Minister of the North-central province Berty Premalal Dissanayake. People’s representatives including Ministers, Parliamentarians, Provincial Governors and Chief Ministers participated in the occasion.
