“Hevisi Sabdha Pooja” in Anuradhapura for Poson

“Hevisi Sabdha Pooja” will be held on Poson Poya Day to commemorate the arrival of Ven. Arahath Mihindu Thero to Mihintalaya in the prmises of Ruwanweli Se Radun in Anuradhapura from June 04 upto following day morning. 50 Hevishi playing Artistes (Drummers) also will take part in this noble occasion.

The Pooja will be held under the distinguished patronage of the chief incumbent of the Ruwanweli Maha Seya and the chief monk in Nuwara Kalaviya Ven.pallegama Hemarathana Thero, District Secretary in Anuradhapura . Mahinda Senaviratna and Director of Cultural Affairs Vijith Kanugala . The ceremony will be jointly organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs and the Anuradhapura District Secratariat office under the direction of the Ministry of Cultural and the Arts.
