Roads closed for St.Anthony's Feast

Several roads will be closed today from 2pm to midnight due to the annual feast of St Anthony’s Shrine, Kochchikade, the Police Public Relations Unit said. Entrance from Modera to Colombo Fort should be from Hettiyawatte junction - Sri Ramanathan Mawatha.

Vehicles travelling to Kotahena and Modera from Fort are adviced to turn from Khan’s Clock Tower junction and proceed along Reclamation road. The following alternative routes could be taken for roads that are closed. Entry to Fort from Modera - turn left at Hettiyawatte junction and proceed along George R de Silva Mawatha and across Barber street junction.

Exit from Fort towards Modera and Kotahena All vehicles travelling from Fort and proceeding to Modera and Kotahena should turn near Khan Clock Tower and proceed along Main street and turn from the Gasworks street junction to enter Barber street junction.
