Gotabhaya marks 63 today

Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Secretary - Ministry of Defense and Urban Development marks his 63rd birthday today (20).

A special religious ceremony was held today at the Eyamporuwa Gangathilaka Viharaya in  Madiwela, Kotte to invoke blessings on him.  He opened a newly built two storied ‘Sangawasaya’ at the Viharaya.   Alms were given to 100 monks and spectacles were given to residents at the ceremony.

Speaker of the Parliament,  Chamal Rajapaksa, Basil Rajapaksa, Minister of Economic Development, Dilan Perera, Minister of Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare, Geethanjana Gunawardena, Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning, Priyantha Bandara MP were also present at the ceremony.
