Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa returned to the country Sunday early morning after completing a tour in Cuba and Brazil where he participated in the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD), Rio+20 held in Rio de Janeiro.
During his tour in Cuba the President met with the Cuban Leader Raul Castro and held discussions to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
The President also took time to visit the home of revolutionary leader Che Guevara in Havana and met with his widow and children.
President Rajapaksa, later visited Brazil on Tuesday (19) where he addressed the Rio+20 summit on Wednesday (20).
