Vehicle loans without interest for the Sri Lankan Artists

Applications will be called from the senior Artists, next month to grant vehicle loans without recovering any interests, by the Ministry of Culture and the Arts.
It is proposed to allocate Rs. 1.2 million for the Artists from the new budget accepted in the house for the 2012. The artists who have more than 18 years in the Arts Field will are eligible to request this loan.
The Applicants who have been in the field of Literary, Music, Dance, Drama, Puppetry, Acting, Art and Sculpture ,Carving, Photography, Television, and handicraft, ect.. are qualified to obtain this loan.
A special discussion about the implementation of this loan system was held at the Ministry of Culture and the Arts recently under the distinguished patronage of T.B. Ekanayae and Malanee Fonseka MP with the participation of the Secretary to the Ministry Wimal Rubasinghe, Director of Cultural Affairs Vijith Kanugala and other Artists
