Seminar on 'Introducing Mass Media" today in Ampara

A school media seminar conducted by the 'Desathiya' Magazine of the Government Information Department commenced this morning at the Ampara D.S.Senanayake Vidyalaya.. This is one in a series of seminars conducted under the theme 'Introducing Mass Media".

Today's seminar is being held with the participation of 600 students from 04 schools in the Ampara Educational Zone. on the theme "Media Appreciation".

The Director General of Government Information Professor Ariyarathne Athugala, the Director of Information Wasantha Priya Ramanayake and Prof.Praneeth Abeysundara delivered the lectures.

The seminar was organized by the Pincipal and the Deputy Principal of the Ampara D.S.Senanayake.

The Dept. of Government Information will conduct these seminars in schools throughout the island..
