Water cut in Several Areas of Colombo

A 12 hour water cut will be imposed on July 14 from 8pm to 8 am on July 15 in the areas of Panchikawatte, Maligawatte, Mihindu Mawatha, Akbar Lane, Sebastian Street, Hultsdorf , Sangharaja Mawatha and Elphinstone theatre junction to Jethavana road in the Colombo district. The National Water Supply and Drainage Board stated that this is due to laying of new pipelines in the city under the Greater Colombo Water Supply & Rehabilitation Project.
Meanwhile, several other areas in Colombo district Rukmalgama, Mattegoda, Kesbewa, Piliyandala, Boralesgamuwa, Maharagama and Pannipitiya too will experience 18-hour water cut on July 14 from 9am to 3am on July 15.
