President opened new Badulla District Secretariat Building

President Mahinda Rajapaksa opened the new District Secretariat building at Badulla on 6th of August. Secretary of Defense and Urban Development Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa also graced the occasion.

Seven storied building is equipped with all modern facilities. At present many development programmes have been carried out by the Urban Development Authority in the Badullla district under the supervision of Secretary Defence and Urban Development.

Hon Minister Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa, Hon Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Management Nimal Siripala De Silva, Hon Minister of Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare Dilan Perera, Hon Minister of Productivity Promotion Lakshman Senevirathne, Hon Members of Parliament, Governor of Uva Province Nanda Mathew, Hon Chief Minister of the Uva Provincial Council Shashindra Rajapaksa, Members of the Uva Provincial Council, Senior Government officials and a large number of distinguished guests were present at the occasion.
