Postal vote results in Batticaloa & Ampara District

Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kadchi won the postal vote in the Batticaloa District with 3,238 votes (59.79 %). United People's Freedom Alliance managed 1,428 votes (26.37 %) with the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress taking 443 (8.18 %). The total number of valid votes is 5,416 and rejected votes were 122 making the total polled 5,538.
In Ampara District, UPFA won the postal vote with 5,342 votes (45.54 %). United National Party received 3,458 votes (29.48 %) and Sri Lanka Muslim Congress received 1,721 votes (14.67 %). The total number of valid votes is 11,731 and rejected votes were 575 making the total polled 12,306.
