EDEX 2013 commences on Friday

The EDEX 2013 Exhibition will start at the BMICH Friday morning (18) and it will be held till the 20th of this month. The Exibition will also be held from January 25th and 26th at the City Centre in Kandy as well. This year’s Exhibition is the 10th consecutive annual exhibition to be held in the country.
Exhibitors from over 21 different countries representing over 250 universities will have more than 300 stalls at the Exhibition. . Participants will include high ranked universities from North America, Europe, Russia, China, Japan, SAARC Region, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.
Many local tertiary educational, professional, vocational and technical training institutes from both government and private sectors will also participate i offering many options to gain advanced knowledge and enhanced skills for the youth.
Organizers of the EDEX Expo said that services of many career guidance counselors at both Colombo and Kandy to assist and guide the attendees in choosing careers will be available at this exhibition.
Holding of EDEX Expo 2013 has been endorsed by the Presidential Secretariat, Ministries of Education, Higher Education, Youth Affairs and Skills Development, Environment and Labor and Labor Relations.
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC), Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA), and Sri Lanka Association of Software and Service Companies (SLASSCOM) are strategic partners in this Exhibition. (niz)
