The two Tamil Jaffna University students who were released following Sri Lanka President's instructions were handed over to their parents in Vavuniya today.
President Rajapaksa during his visit ro Jaffna instructed to release these two Tamil students detained for nearly three months for honouring fallen fighters from the defeated Tamil Tiger rebel group.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa said he made the decision in response to appeals by the students’ parents.
