    Evo Morales Invested as president of Bolivia until 2020

    La Paz,:The Bolivian President, Evo Morales, was invested on Thursday (22) for a new term at the head of the State Plurinational in a ceremony that was attended by several presidents of Latin America and the Caribbean.


    The appointment began with the transfer of the symbols of the presidency from the Palacio Quemado to the Legislative head office, escorted by leaders of the social movements, among them the Bolivian Worker's Union, rural organizations and oil workers, for a Square Murillo crowded with public.


    Then there was promulgated the Law of Proclamation Morales as head of state and Alvaro Garcia Linera as vice-president for the period 2015-2020.


    Later, Garcia Linera swore the charge and received the attributes corresponding to his responsibilities, that they include also the presidency of the Legislative Plurinational Assembly, from this position swore to Morales and imposed the symbols inherent to his post.
    Morales, who came to the Palacio Quemado in January, 2006, won the general elections of last October 12 with 61,36 per cent of the votes and with absolute majority in eight of nine departments of the country.


    On having began his second term at the head of the State Plurinational and the third one since 2006, he is close to become in the head of state with more time consecutive at the head of the nation, an honor that Marcelo Quiroga Santa Cruz holds untill now.


    Even, at the end of his management, in 2020, the indigenous leader and coca grower, will overcome Victor Paz Estensoro as the tenant with more time in the Palacio Quemado, although by that time the head office of the Executive will be the New Big House of the People, whose construction will end in 2016.


    During the act of investiture of Morales, Garcia Linera emphasized the concentration of progressive and revolutionary governments in Latin America, in contrast with what it is happening in other places of the world, where the neoliberalism still fighting for respect.
    Likewise, he recalled some of the achievements of Morales' government in the economy, education, in the liberation of the indigenous peoples and in the awakening of the social movements.


    The vice-president showed his hopes that in the future a different, more modern and egalitarian society, will emerge from the cracks and contradictions of the same capitalism for the sake of the big masses, and discoursed upon the kindness of the socialism.
