Rescue of The Silk Road, a Priority for China in 2015

    January 30, 2015

Beijing: The reconstruction of the Silk Route of the XXI Century, an economic belt that will connect several Asian countries, appears among the priorities of China in 2015 and is considered today by local analysts vital for a major regional cooperation.

The Economic Route of the Silk and the Maritime Route of the Silk are initiatives presented by the Chinese president Xi Jinping to the dignitaries of several countries during his international visits in 2013, Prensa Latina News Agency reports said.

The recreation of the millennial commercial route, which connected Asia with Europe when the Dynasty Han (206 before our age untill 220 of the current one) has the intention of expanding from the Chinese coastal area, in the oriental strip, across Central Asia and Middle East up to reaching Europe.

The route of the maritime silk would go from the south of China up to the Asian Southeast.

The functioning of this important economic belt will need more highways, railroads and air connections, for which numerous regions of China integrate its resources, policies and markets to connect with the world, mentions the news agency.

According to Xinhua, this initiative can further integrate China and allow many other areas to enjoy the benefits of its opening politics, although they underline that its biggest significance is to strengthen a national and regional development and to obtain a more pragmatic approach of its foreign policy.
